Spacious home in a great location

Our group of 5 couples has vacationed at Kiawah 9 times over the past 21 years. Each trip we’ve chosen a different home and stayed in various parts of the island. This home is in a perfect location. Situated on a quiet cul-de-sac, it is a very short walk to the beach. Being centrally located on the island, it is a great starting point for bike rides to explore different areas. The interior of the house is very attractive. It has the comfortable feel of a much-loved home with lots of artwork and personal items of the owners displayed. We found the house very easily accommodated our needs as it is spacious and well laid out. The living and dining area was large enough for 10 people to gather and each of the 5 bedrooms are expansive with luxurious bathrooms. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances, cookware, dishes and glasses. Having access to the garage and the use of the elevator was very helpful. The laundry rooms on each floor were an added bonus. The back patio, pool & hot tub, and screen porch are beautiful and have a lovely view of the trees and lagoon. Again, this area is large enough to easily accommodate 10 people. The front porch is also a nice place to sit and has very comfortable furniture. Unfortunately, there were a number of maintenance issues that detracted from our full enjoyment of the property. Some of these were minor such as the broken blind in one of the downstairs bedrooms and the dripping faucet in one of the bathrooms. Other issues were more problematic. The Wi-Fi did not work upstairs and the TVs in 2 of the upstairs bedrooms did not work. The jets on the hot tub would only run for a few minutes before the motor overheated and shut off. The knob that turned the oven on fell off the first day we were there. The maintenance man came out that afternoon but, because a part had to be ordered, it was not repaired until our last day there. Since we had planned to cook several meals at the house, we were given a credit for this inconvenience. It seemed to us that all of these problems should have been obvious and already addressed.

We had 8 adults and 5 children. Bedrooms were spacious and everyone having their own bathroom is a big plus. Kitchen nice and everything needed to cook meals. The only bad thing is the dishwasher broke when we were there in the middle of the week. We did get paper plates and bowls delivered which helped a lot. The elevator was so nice and helped get suitcases to the bedrooms. Washer and dryer on ground floor and second floor was helpful! There was a wagon to help get items to the beach. Nice walkway to the beach and not too far. The pool and hot tub was a plus and everyone enjoyed it. We loved it and maybe plan to bring family back in June or first of July of 2025.

We loved the coziness of the house. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. The pool is beautifully situated in the tree canopy and is very relaxing. Also can’t say enough about Sweetgrass and how friendly they were and quick and accommodating for the one very minor issue we had. I do think the house needs a little “love” in some areas. A tremendous amount of spider webs in the outdoor living areas. The dishwasher wheels are gone on the bottom rack making it hard to load/unload. These would be easily corrected. Overall the house had pretty much everything we needed and we enjoyed our stay.

This house is in a great location. We could easily walk to the beach - didn't even need to bike there. The layout of the house is very convenient with two main bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms on the first floor for the two couples. And plenty of room for the younger generation upstairs. The pool and hot tub are great and the hot tub gets hot - we've had trouble with previous properties having hot tubs that don't actually get hot. The grill works great. The dining table is big enough for our entire group of 8 to fit comfortably. But the kitchen beginning to show its age and wear. The stove is almost impossible to control the heat in the oven. The water in the kitchen sink never got hot. The dryer barely dries which means it needs to have the link cleaned out all the way through the line or it needs to be replaced. So updating the appliances would improve the rental a lot.

We've replaced the dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator with brand new appliances, and we've also addressed issues with the top of the line Viking oven and have replaced the gas tubes and thermostat to ensure better control over heat. Additionally, the homeowner has replaced both hot water heaters and added a system for instant hot water throughout the house. We annually clean the dryer vents both upstairs and downstairs. Sometimes towels that are not shaken out of sand before they are placed both in the washer and dryer can cause the washer and dryers to have issues. We are happy to get them cleaned again should any issues arise. We appreciate your input and hope to welcome you back for another enjoyable stay soon!

Kiawah is a magical place like no other. Sweetgrass was wonderful to work with, the home was lovely and fitting for our large group. The access to the beach was incredible and the amazing bike paths that go on for miles and miles were such fun. Parents lived there 20 years ago and it was fun to go back and visit the old spots and see all the growth and development of the new.

The house layout worked very well, had roomy bathrooms, and a well equipped kitchen. The pool was great with a bonus view of the pond. We were even visited by an alligator (no danger, it was sunning well below the pool/main floor level) The path to the beach was long enough for biking, but short enough to walk easily. Really good house!

We have stayed at this house twice now - last September 12-19, 2020 and again last week, Sept. 11-18. We love many things about this property…the size, the layout, that it has a pool and hot tub, and, the short walk to the beach. The elevator was especially handy last year when my in-laws were with us. We appreciate the timely emails from Sweetgrass Realty and that we wee able to get in early last Saturday Sept. 11. Our multi generational family enjoyed this well-loved and wonderfully furnished home. We used the pool everyday and the walk to the beach was easy. The property managers were especially responsive on the couple of occasions we experienced minor problems. Thank you for a great home to use for our vacation week!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 350 Walker Cup! The kids spent a ton of time in the pool and the outdoor fireplace was great to warm up on a chilly night. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed and loved the open floor plan to the large eating table and tv area. The rooms were very spacious and second floor had a good setup for kids with lots of sleeping space. The house location was in a cul-de-sac which reduced traffic and made biking great for kids. The house was right on the path to the beach and had great paved walkways for running and biking. We could not have been happier with the house and location. The house was very homey and well loved by the owners. We look forward to coming back!

Communication throughout the process was prompt, accurate and courteous. This is the best property we have stayed at which includes several in the Sates and in Europe. There are five bedroom suites that are very complete and very private
