Can our dog stay at our rental property?

Yes! We have several pet-friendly properties for dogs that fit the criteria.

A $125 non-refundable per dog applies to each reservation that includes a dog. The fee does not cover damage such as chewing, scratching, digging, and unreported house-training accidents.

Yes. On Kiawah Island, dogs must be on a leash or lead when outside a house or designated area, including the beach unless in Dog Use Areas.” Seabrook has a designated area where dogs can be off-leash. Off-leash hours vary depending on the time of year. In Isle of Pines/Wild Dunes, dogs must be on a leash and under complete control during the spring and summer. Check local leash laws for other times of the year

That’s a definite “no.”

What about alligators?

Leash your pets at all times around ponds as this is a known alligator habitat. Also, don’t allow pets in sections of the beach designated Critical Areas” or sea turtle nesting areas.

What else?

Dont let your dog bark excessively or roam on neighboring properties. Remember many of our homes are located in residential neighborhoods. Also, ensure your dogs medications and immunizations are up-to-date, especially flea treatment.

If you have concerns about having your pet stay in your rental property, we can recommend a kennel for boarding.
