Kiawah Island has been called a “Golf Paradise,” and with good reason. It is home to the Kiawah Island Golf Resort, which owns and operates five public courses.

Epic Courses

The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort is on the must-play list for a true test of skill. The Ocean Course has 10 seaside holes on the Atlantic and the other eight running parallel.

Osprey Point Golf Course gets rave reviews for its playability, pristine conditions and elegant clubhouse. Players are challenged by four par-3s, four extremely distinctive par-5s and ten outstanding par-4s ranging in length from 340 to 461 yards.

Turtle Point Golf Course had a 2016 renovation led by Jack Nicklaus. With three holes near the ocean, this is a beautiful course that can be tough.

Cougar Point offers golfers dramatic marsh vistas and superior playability. With a unique layout is unique and excellent fairways, this course is fun to play.

Oak Point Golf Course showcases undulating fairways and challenging greens on a meticulously maintained course that favors a thinking approach over raw power.

Challenging Conditions

Players on the Ocean Course meet resistance from the wind’s direction and strength. The differences in wind on any given hole means up to an eight-club difference in play. Other courses also see the wind as a challenge, including the first hole of the Osprey Course, which usually plays into it. Each course offers plenty of water bunkers, so take extra balls. There are also subtle undulations, doglegs, and elevated greens.
