About Travel Insurance

You've saved. You've planned. You've looked forward to your vacation for months. But sometimes things don't go according to plan.

  • A hurricane or blizzard prevents you from starting your vacation or forces you to leave early?

Our recommendation is a travel insurance policy via Travel Guard. This policy is purchased through Sweetgrass Vacation Rentals and is paid for at the time of your reservation. The cost for the insurance is 7% of the total of your reservation. 

Because all payments are non-refundable when they are received by Sweetgrass, a claim via Travel Guard is the only method to obtain a refund in case of cancellation. Beyond, protecting your investment from cancellation, Travel Guard can also cover travel delays, baggage delays or loss, rental car collisions, and medical issues that arise during your vacation.
