When it’s cold outside, a hot cup of joe hits the spot. What draws you to a coffee house? Is it the atmosphere, the quality of the coffee, or the service? Or a combination of all three?
Check out a list of our favorite coffee spots on Kiawah Island.
There is something for everyone at Cafe Eugenia in Freshfields Village, which offers a range of hot and cold coffee drinks in addition to frozen rose, amazing made-from-scratch food, and baked goods.
Java Java, also at Freshfields Village, provides fast service, a full breakfast menu, and delicious coffee. What more can you ask from your go-to coffee spot? A latte with vanilla beans is a cup of perfection. Their cheerful staff is an added bonus.
The Hemingway, an artisanal cafe, keeps it simple and eclectic. Coffee. Beer. Wine. Food. Treat yourself to an Italian Walnut seasonal latte. Their pour-over is also delicious. On Saturdays, go early for the fresh-baked cinnamon roll. They sell out quickly.
Estuary Beans & Barley places the focus on roasting coffee and brewing beer. They do both really well. Their menu offers a range of coffees, including lattes, cappuccino, cortado, macchiato, mocha, and more. They also have several draft beers and mix specialty drinks like a Lit Irishmen, their take on Irish Coffee.
If you are into Starbucks coffee, there is a location in the Harris Teeter at Freshfields Village. Find all your favorite Starbucks coffees and teas, including a Frappuccino, cold coffees, and hot drinks. Drink your caramel macchiato while you shop.
The Nest Market Cafe in the heart of Night Heron Park also makes a convenient place to grab a quick cup to go or to enjoy on the sprawling porch.
