If you love to get outside, breath fresh air and feel the sunshine on your face, you have booked the right vacation spot. With more than 216 days of sunshine a year, South Carolina’s coast is a Mecca for outdoor adventure.

Discover more than 30 miles of bike paths and 10 miles of beach to ride on with Kiawah Island bike trails. Kiawah is quite a large island with an abundance of beauty. Bike riding is the perfect way to get around the island while getting some exercise. Whether you want to ride paved roads, off-road or on the beach, we have you covered.

Take a hike along the boardwalk at Beachwalker Park on Kiawah Island. The park has 11 miles of pristine beaches along the Atlantic Ocean and Bohicket River. Walk the boardwalk to enjoy the beautiful native flora and fauna along the South Carolina Coast. Dogs are welcome at the park, but they must remain on leashes at all times.

Isle of Palms and Wild Dunes Resort offer 63 trails and bike paths, including bridge crossings and paved pathways. Bicyclists of every level will find the right fit. The Sullivan’s Island Nature Trail sits on 190 acres with a path to the beach. For Moultrie National Historic Park offers three great trails for the entire family.

If you prefer hitting the trails on horseback, there is a place for that as well. The Seabrook Island Equestrian Center is one of the few places on the East Coast offering horseback riding on the beach. But that’s just one possibility. The center also has a three-mile trail ride through the island’s interior and pony rides under the magnolias for young riders.

The South Carolina coast offers so many options when it comes to getting out in nature. Pick one or do it all. It is entirely up to you. After all, it is your coastal vacation.
