Description

Surrounded by mature live oaks and ocean breezes, this oceanfront home on Kiawah Island is a vacationers dream!  Boasting 5 bedroom and 5.5 bathrooms, 1A Eugenia Avenue is situated in the charming West Beach area of Kiawah Resort and is just steps to the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. It is thoughtfully designed on three levels to maximize views, offers multiple decks, and a wonderful screened porch.

Upon entering the home, the expansive open floor-plan on the main level is filled with natural sunlight and ocean views thanks to vaulted ceilings and endless walls of windows. The living space provides lots of comfortable areas to spread out, relax, share stories over a glass of wine, and enjoy time with friends and family.  There is a half bathroom on this main level.  Additionally, there is a casual den area on this level, a perfect spot for those who need a quiet space to work remotely or just enjoy a good book.

The spacious kitchen, which is perfect for entertaining and large family meals, includes an large center island and upgraded appliances. Multiple dining options include a formal dining table with seating for eight, a breakfast area table with seating for four, an L-shaped countertop bar with four additional stools, and an outdoor patio table on the screened porch.  Just behind the kitchen is a useful utility area with extra storage and a second refrigerator.

Moving to the second floor of the house, one can find three of the five bedrooms. There are two master suites, both featuring a king bed, sitting area, and private bathrooms. The main master includes a TV, and private oceanfront balcony. The third bedroom contains two twin beds and has a private bath.  The laundry area, with full size washer and dryer, are located on this second level.

The remaining two bedrooms are on the third floor of the home. The fourth bedroom has a queen bed, and the fifth features two twin beds. Both bedrooms have private bathrooms and TVs.  Additionally, there is a small sitting room with balcony on this top level, which has the most incredible oceanfront views!

For added convenience, this home is an outdoor shower, gas grill, and extra parking.

From the very first experience with the happy and pleasant office staff I knew we would have an enjoyable experience .as a renter one is concerned that the checkin will go smoothly as your car is filled with perishable items and anxious guests.the lockbox works well and the codes for our tv and iPads all worked easily.we had one minor problem and immediately my call was answered by a very kind and helpful maintenance man. The house was so clean and well maintained and if course so well decorated with simple white and wooden floors. The view is divine .the beds are soooooo comfy and firm . We think the staff with sweet grass are sooooo great and pleasant and never make you feel as though you are a bother .we would hope to always deal with sweetgrass So thank you for a truly wonderful time at the perfectly fabulous kiawah beach which is a joy Sincerely karla

We had a wonderful stay! The home is beautiful and has wonderful views of the ocean and beach. The house was clean and very comfortable. Sweetgrass was great to accommodate several last minute changes with our reservation. Looking forward to staying again.

This place is big and beautiful. It is well equipped to handle any situation. Great for a large family vacation. Hope to use it again real soon. Host was very responsive when our time ran out and allowed us to spend an additional day. Be sure and leave a tip for the cleaning staff, they deserve every penny. We celebrated an 80th birthday at this residence. Ages 45 to 92, we all loved the peace and beauty of this house. One could spend time identifying possible improvements to be made, but truly, for us and the moment, it was perfect. I would particularly like to commend Cali who hunted down birthday Tshirts which had gone astray. Thank you Cali for your persistence.

Excellent Location and responsive rental managers. View is obstructed by bushes on main level so can only see ocean from 2nd 3rd floor bedrooms. Kitchen needs some attention - not enough drinking glasses for a large house and chipped dining plates - dishwasher could use update. Main floor rugs need cleaning or replacing. Duvet covers are not secure and easily fall off - hopefully inner duvets are cleaned/replaced weekly. LIght switches are very confusing - labeling would be helpful. Shower head in twin bedroom confusing - needs labeling.

Great location to host our families. Plenty of room for preparing meals,games,relaxing and close proximity to the beach. Sweetgrass is my new “go to” on Kiawah rentals and we would definitely choose 1A Eugenia again. The ease of dealing with Sweetgrass was a big part of making this trip a success. The home is beautiful and is a layout that perfectly suited our group. Beach access is a key with toddlers (and grandparents) and you can’t beat the location of 1A Eugenia.

Other than the issues with the a/c on the second floor, 1A Eugenia did not disappoint. Location was perfect, house overall was comfortable. Kitchen could use a few upgrades i.e. dishwasher.

We loved our stay.The house is beautiful,the rooms and bathrooms are fully supplied, the location could not be much better and the process of checking in and out was easy. It is somewhat unfortunate a deal cannot be made with the community center right next door for pool use. Also the kitchen could really use some better cooking supplies.

Location is amazing. Only a few steps to the boardwalk that leads to the beach. Lot of room for large families or groups of friends. The screened in porch was the site for evening guitar playing and family bonding. You can't get a better location on Kiawah!

We have rented numerous homes on Kiawah Island and 1A Eugenia is one of the best. The location is great and the house is in good condition with ample parking. Use of the elevator and an ocean view (shrubs obstructed the view) from the first floor would have been nice especially with the price point of the property.
