One of the best places to witness strand feeding is near the tidal waters of Captain Sam’s Inlet. Dolphins are most active during the two-hour window before and after low tide, making this a prime time for sightings. Another great viewing area is the far end of North Beach on Seabrook Island. Guests staying nearby can park on Oyster Catcher Court by Walk 2, then enjoy a short stroll to the shoreline. Once you reach the sand, head left and continue walking about half a mile until you reach the Inlet. As you search for dolphins, watch for fish leaping near the edge of the water—it’s often a good sign they’re close by.
