The open kitchen and dining area, with access to the screened porch and outdoor deck, is perfect for entertaining. The outdoors are meant to be enjoyed on Kiawah. The picturesque porches, including outdoor dining table and relaxing Adirondack chairs, offer an ideal spot to take in the unique nature views & wildlife or enjoy your morning coffee & an evening glass of wine.

The primary bedroom, which is located on the first floor of the home, features a king bed and an en-suite bath with double vanities, a spacious shower, and a soaking tub. The second bedroom (Bedroom #2), which contains a queen bed, is also located on this main floor.  This room has direct porch access to enjoy pond views. Upstairs, you will find the two remaining bedrooms and a bonus sitting area with queen-sized sleeper sofa.  The third bedroom (Bedroom #3) boasts a king bed and private bath, and the final bedroom (Bedroom #4) contains two twin beds. The laundry room is located on the main floor of the home, and the owner does provide a pack-n-play & highchair if traveling with little ones!

Excellent house, close to the beach and bike trails!! The icing on the cake was that we could use the garage. 3 minor items to have improved the stay even more are 1). Keypad Combo to open the garage 2). Upgrade of the microwave and oven (oven took really long to heat) 3). Electric water boiling kettle.

Everything was as advertised. House was clean, roomy, great location and a good value. This was our family’s first time on Kiawah Island but thanks to SweetGrass this will be a yearly tradition. Everything about the property, grounds, beaches, activities were first class. Our best beach vacation ever

* 8 Bufflehead was perfect for my family's recent trip to Kiawah for a wedding. We enjoyed the outside deck and spacious living areas. The kitchen could use an updating but it had everything you may need.I would rent it again!

My family and I just stayed the weekend in this stunning home. It couldn’t have been a better fit!!! Stunning, spotless, comfy with the dreamiest porches overlooking the lake. My two little girls said they wanted to stay forever. We also LOVED seeing the gators bask in the grassy backyard. I highly recommend!

We all enjoyed staying at 8 Bufflehead on Kiawah Island. What a well-supplied property! And so beautifully appointed - -great spaces for everyone and our 97-year old “Nana” had lots of space to roam in her walker! We especially loved the porch and deck – “gator spotting” was fruitful and we enjoyed seeing the 5pm visits daily. Thank you for offering this exceptional vacation home!

This was our first time to Kiawah and we all had a fun visit. The bedding was very comfortable and the home was beautiful. The furnishings were very comfortable, and we enjoyed all the open space. We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. The back deck is so lovely and serene, and the layout is perfect for families. The home was stocked with a high chair and pack n play which was super helpful. You can’t beat the natural light and pond views from the living room, and the screened porch was a fun spot to hang out once kids went to bed. All in all, a great stay and we’d highly recommend it. We’ll be back!

This house is beautiful, clean, stocked with everything you need, spacious and in a prime location of Kiawah. It was perfect for two families with kids. The decor was simple, updated and refreshing. The house wasn’t crowded with the owners belongings and I loved that there was room to put your food, games and toiletries in drawers and cabinets. I loved that it had a front and back porch, screened in porch, a landing upstairs and a den down. Everyone wasn’t on top of each other and we had our own spaces. The live oaks and Spanish moss hanging from the branches around the house added to the true low country experience. The bike trails are close by and it’s just a short walk or bike ride to the beach.

We LOVED our stay at this home. It was the first time to Kiawah for most of our family and we felt like picked the perfect home. It's so easy to get to the beach - just a short walk or bike ride away - over a beautiful little path with a bridge. We rode our bikes everywhere. And we saw so much wildlife, including baby alligators. We had a great dinner at the Salty Dog by the marina, and loved getting ice cream and looking at the boats. The house had everything we needed. The beds were so comfortable and the master shower/bath is gorgeous. By far my favorite thing was relaxing on the screened porch. It feels so private and was the perfect spot for coffee and a book. We would love to come back and stay at this same home. Thank you for hosting us!

Location was secluded and peaceful. Spent lots of time on the deck and screened patio enjoying the nature all around. Alligators spent their days sunbathing on the shore in the back yard. Fish were jumping out of the water behind the house. Multiple species of birds were flying around and enjoying the trees and the birdhouse. Several deer walked by the deck. Peaceful and relaxing. The location is still close enough to Charleston that we drove in every day. Looking forward to returning. Possibly making this at least an annual trip.

Who would have believed that in just a four hour ride from Greenville SC we could escape winter for a few days. It was a wonderful vacation. This home is so perfect and relaxing. The views are beautiful with the lagoon and palm trees in the back. On the porch you can hear the ocean. It was so sunny and bright in the house because of all the windows along the back. It's very private because across the lagoon there aren't any homes just trees. We brought our bicycles. It was a short ride to the beach from the house. Plenty of restaurants in the area for dining out. Great Location! Can't wait to go back.

This is a very beautiful house and location. We enjoyed the daily visits from all the wildlife and even multiple alligators. The lagoons are nice to stay on. The walk to the beach is ok but if you are bringing get a cart at least, or maybe I’m just getting old. The house was well stocked with all items needed. The coffee maker accepted both grounds and k cups. The house was very clean and bed comfortable. We hope to stay again.
