Description

Located along a tidal creek of the Kiawah River and only 3 blocks from the beach, the gated community of Inlet Cove Cottages is a perfect family vacation destination. Swimming in the community pool, fishing, crabbing, and beach combing, are just a few of the many activities waiting to be enjoyed. Kiawah Island also offers five championship golf courses, two tennis centers, parks, over 30 miles of bike paths, plus 10 miles of white sandy beaches.

When driving up to the cottage, you can't help but notice the beautiful views you won't be able to take your eyes off of the whole trip! You have ample parking in the car port and driveway. 

Once you make your way to the main floor, you will notice the open concept living and dining area. With comfortable furnishings in the living room and flat screen TV, you are sure to relax. This area is open to the dining table, seating 6, and flows in to the kitchen that also has a table for extra eating space. 

There are 3 bedrooms and 2 baths in this cottage. The Master bedroom will be off the living room and connected to the back porch. This room has a queen size bed, private bathroom and flat screen TV. The second and third rooms will each have two twin beds and share a bathroom.  

Relax on the lovely screened porch with amazing water views. For your convenience, this cottage does come with a washer and dryer, as well as WiFi.

We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay despite the uncertain weather. The location is ideal within walking distance to the beach and biking distance to other amenities. Great views of the sunset over the river. We will definitely come back.

We love Kiawah. The beach is amazing. The fishing and crabbing are always good. Bicycling on the beach is like riding on pavement. We love staying in inlet-cove. It offers access to the doc on the river and to the swimming pool. The house was great. It was clean and well equipped. Everything was comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay. The walk to beach and pool was very doable with small children.The house was clean.The kitchen was well stocked. We brought our own fans which helped with the heat on the back porch. There was an issue with master bath did not drain while taking a shower.Overall we had a great time.

The place is nice has not been updated since last visit. Great view from back porch. Love the off street location. 2nd bathroom had some issues with toilet not flushing and tub not draining. Had a great time in a great community. Hope to be back again in a couple years.

The positives: - location. This is the second time we have stayed in Inlet Cove. We love the quite streets, close access to Beachwalker Park, and grocery store. - location. This unit has a tangential view of the river. We love sitting on the screened-in porch to sip coffee in the mornings and eat ice cream at sunset. - Layout. The three bedrooms are great. Fit our family perfectly. - Supplies. Kitchen is adequately stocked. Big/new fridge. Washer/Dryer work well. Nice having an outdoor shower downstairs to wash the sand off before coming into the house. - Age. The floor has been replaced fairly recently but you can feel some soft spots in the subflooring. The front door is showing some age/peeling The screened-in porch really/really needs a ceiling fan. The backyard trees are starting to grow up and block the river view. (is it possible to cut down about half of them?) - Management. Great. We had a toilet issue. We emailed them. They were around that afternoon and fixed it. Prompt. Great communication. Felt very good with the management company. Will look at their listings in the future because of this.

This was a great place to stay for our vacation. Having stayed in many of the Inlet Cove villas over the years, this one was nice. But, it could have used a few things to make it a little better. There were no ceiling fans on the back porch which had a wonderful view. The table out there is so big, it wasn't very comfortable for sitting down and watching the sunset. The ice maker didn't work well on the fridge - thought that wasn't a big deal but bring your own ice. The beds were super comfortable. There were ample cooking pieces and flatware. It was nice, quiet, and peaceful. Just what we were looking for. Would have given 5 stars but didn't spend a lot of time out on the porch - which we love - because there were no ceiling fans.

Home was as described. Very clean.Kitchen well stocked, used the grill, easy and it worked. Happy house with colors, wallpaper, etc. but a bit dated, which is fine I guess, it's a rental...Two recommendations are to add a hose downstairs to make rinsing beach chairs, bikes, toys, etc. easier . Also the table on the back porch is huge ( chairs also very large) and takes up the entire porch, hard to navigate around the table and it blocks most of the view from inside. Would recommend a smaller table and chairs, maybe round? Palmetto plant by mailbox needs to be trimmed back, very hard to see backing out. Dangerous with people walking and bikers, children, etc. Our first experience with Sweetgrass and they were excellent to work with. Easy, great communication prior to and during trip.

We had a wonderful week on Kiawah. The cottage is the perfect balance between serenity and convenience. Highlight was the screened-in porch, especially at sunset! The cottage is located between the community pool and county beach/park and very short distance to shops. It was well supplied with kitchen necessities and comfy towels and linens. Minor issues that came up got an immediate response. We hope to return and would love to bring a bigger group next time.

We have been coming to Kiawah for more than 20 years and have stayed in several villas in Inlet Cove. The river view in this unit was better than we expected from the photos, although somewhat blocked by trees. We enjoyed watching the sunset from the screened porch. The air conditioning was superior and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was better equipped than many. We loved the Weber gas grill that included propane. As mentioned by others, the screened porch furniture is too big for the space, the couches are not very comfortable, and the decor is dated, however, pretty typical for Inlet Cove units and not a big deal for us. We would choose this unit again. As part of our decision whether to go to Kiawah this year, we listened to Town of Kiawah Council Meetings on YouTube at the beginning of the Covid 19 pandemic to hear how the Island was addressing it. Sweetgrass was mentioned as particularly responsive in adopting additional cleaning standards. The unit was spotless and we liked that all comforters were double sheeted. The company was also on top of messaging and offered good options when a hurricane was imminent during our stay. We would definitely rent again with Sweetgrass.

We all enjoyed our stay at 50 Inlet Cove. The house was very clean and perfect for the six of us. We were sad that the pool was not available for guests due to COVID-19; however the beach was such a quick bike ride away. I loved sitting on the porch and enjoying the inlet views. Fishing from the neighborhood dock was fun, and we also used the neighborhood dock to launch our kayaks. Everyone enjoyed the Kiawah bike trails. Sweetgrass was very responsive before and during our trip to any questions.

Unit was very clean upon our arrival and well stocked with the necessities (only thing we were missing was coffee filters). Has a great view of the river! Overall furniture was comfortable, but I would recommend upgrading the porch table and chairs. The table takes up too much room and chairs are uncomfortable. Something that allows you to lounge and enjoy the views would be preferable. Also I'd recommend adding a ceiling fan outside. We had a great trip and would stay here again!

The people at Sweetgrass Properties were wonderful. They responded quickly to our need for a last-minute vacation spot to replace one that was cancelled by another company 12 hrs prior to our scheduled time to leave for vacation. Sweetgrass made sure we had all of the information we needed so that we could leave for vacation with the assurance that the property we reserved through them would be ready and waiting for us. We arrived to a clean air-conditioned cottage, with plenty of ice in the freezer, and some lights left on to greet us. We would book through them again in a heartbeat!
