Our home at 9 Silver Moss is the PERFECT home for your next vacation! Your family and friends will enjoy the convenience of this two-story house with a fantastic open floor plan. It is centrally located behind the second gate of Kiawah Resort overlooking the Canvasback Pond. It is the ideal location to enjoy Kiawah Island's world class amenities.

Upon entering the home, you are greeted with tasteful decor with pops of coral and neutral tones. The stylish main living room features comfortable modern furnishings and a flat screen television mounted over the fireplace (*not for guest use). The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you need to make a delicious home cooked meal. The main dining table seats 8 guests with an additional 3 bar stools at the island counter top.

The primary master suite (Bedroom #1) is located on the first floor of home and includes a king size bed, private bathroom, and access to the screened-in porch. 

Located up the stairs on the top floor of the home are the remaining three bedrooms, laundry room, and separate bonus living room with a pull out sofa-bed (queen size). The second bedroom (Bedroom #2) features a king size bed, porch access, and private bathroom.  The third bedroom with a King  bed (Bedroom #3) and the fourth bedroom, which has two twin beds (Bedroom#4), share a bathroom and both also have access to the porch.

Absolutely stunning home! The interior has an excellent layout perfect for families or couples. The balconies and back porch have incredible views. We loved the surrounding wildlife. The beach is a 5 minute walk and was an easy trek with kids/strollers/wagons etc. the beach is very clean and family friendly. Can’t say enough about this beautiful island and home! Highly recommend.

Beautiful home in a great location. Short bike ride or walk to the beach. We loved sitting on back screened porch and family meals at the large dining table. Everything we needed to enjoy our time. The Sweetgrass staff are friendly and easy to work with.

Had stayed in this home back in 2017 when my twin grands were 4! Same 8 family members this year still had plenty of room and the updated changes were great, particularly the bathrooms! . Loved the porch…could hear alligator’s mating growl several mornings. Would be nice if the undergrowth near lagoon’s edge were thinned out a bit so view was improved. Easy walk or bike ride to beach which is the best feature of Kiawah Island. Thanks for a great werk!

This home has a wonderful location and is decorated beautifully. The rooms are spacious and the screened porch makes a wonderful gathering space. The kitchen is full of amenities. Our group of 8 has stayed here the past 2 years and have enjoyed it.

We enjoyed a week in Kiawah at this lovely home. It is beautiful and well appointed. We spent time both inside and on the outside decks. Access to the beach was an easy 5-10 minute walk. We rented bikes and rode both on land and the beach. Highly recommend.

Loved 9 Silver Moss! It was our first Kiawah rental and It was perfect! Loved the decor and the location. I would recommend that the cleaners do a 2nd look after cleaning. Toilet bowl cleaner squirted all over toilet lids, dirty towels on top of washing machine, and dishes still in dishwasher top rack. This was no big deal at all. Just pointing out. Beautiful home and Sweetgrass very detailed and awesome communication. We would definitely use them again.

I previously submitted a Review yesterday but forgot to mention another positive item about staying at 9 Silver Moss. As I mentioned the walk to the beach is short and easy plus another great thing about this locations is that the beach was not even close to being crowded. At other locations the beach can become VERY busy with tourists, renters, etc. everywhere but because this location is more dominant with home owners vs. guests & tourist the beach was quite secluded compared to other locations we frequented over the past 40 years.

Our family has been going to Kiawah since 1981 and love the Island. When our 3 children got married we needed a larger house so we rented 9 Silver Moss so that everyone would be more comfortable. WE were highly impressed with the size, layout and furnishings of the house inside and out. It was set up to comfortably seat 8 guest at the main dining table great room and the outside deck table...simply AWESOME. The walk to the Beach was probably about 5 - 6 minutes and a very easy walk. The rear view over the lake and the beautiful Kiawah foliage & trees was spectacular. From the rear deck ( both upstairs and the main floor ) you could look across the water and see one of the golf greens as the players played that hole. And another cool design item, the large gas grill was located outside at the end of the deck on it's own landing and was very convenient to cook and stay in touch with he guests on the deck. And another SUPER COOL thing is that it has an OUTSIDE SHOWER...that is a life / wife saver in our household. It also had separate state of the art HVAC controls for the upstairs and the main level that were so easy to operate. The bed mattresses were Beautyrest, unbelievably comfortable and made "ZERO" noise if you got up during the night. The kitchens had state of the art appliances and were totally equipped for about anything you could need for cooking, etc. The bathrooms were VERY nice and up to date as to design and a pleasure to use. After visiting Kiawah Island since 1981, I rate this as best best of the best I have stayed in...period. AS Nike says...JUST DO IT.

Great location, great screen porch, great floor plan. Our older grandchildren appreciated the upstairs den with TV, playstation, & movies. There was only 1 extra chair (in twin bedroom) to use for extra seating at the dining table inside and on the porch. A couple more occasional, pull-up chairs would be nice.

This year's vacation was probably the best that we have had at Kiawah. The facilities in the house were great and location is ideal, especially with children. I would recommend this home to any family looking for a great beach getaway.

Everything was wonderful. Loved the new bathrooms and the open concept family room and kitchen. The porch was awesome. The floors and the cushions needed to be cleaned better though on the porch.

We loved our stay! The space was perfect for 4 adults and 5 kids - enough room for playing, sleeping and relaxing. The adults loved the close golf, abundant walking trails and easy walk to the beach. The kids, of course, loved the beach and all the gator sightings. We made use of the grill and screened in porch many times during the week and benefited from all the kitchen supplies. We found some boogie boards, sand toys and two beach chairs in the basement that helped make our beach time a bit more fun. The only bummer for us was that the pool was not open and the kids really wanted to use it. Would recommend!

Everything was terrific except the grill didn’t work properly. We tried to grill steaks on NYE only to not be able to get a flame high enough. The grill had propane but did not work properly. Very disappointing with expensive steaks.

We spent 2 amazing weeks here. 9 Silver Moss is a wonderful family home - spacious, clean, located close to beach, great screen porch, beautiful new bathrooms, tastefully decorated ... to list just a few!! We spent most mornings on the porch watching the sun rise and enjoying the wildlife living in the lagoon nearby. I am going to miss that porch and our beach walks every day! Thanks for a memorable vacation.

Perfect. Bright and open home. Bedrooms and bathrooms spacious and clean. House lay out provides quiet space and space for group game nights. Kitchen had more than expected. Screened in porch usable day and night. Front porch could use permanent chairs and small table. Beach location is a short walk and an easy bike ride. Lagoon view and golf course views are what makes Kiawah special. Garbage and Recycle pick up needs to be better planned. On our Saturday arrival, all cans were full. We had to keep our garbage bags in the house until Monday and the recyclables were overwhelming. Recycle not picked up until Wednesday. Way to much fuss about where to store garbage and recyclables to keep them safe from the wild life and environment.

We very much enjoyed our stay at 9 Silver Moss. The house is conveniently located directly next to the bike path that leads to the beach access. It's a quick walk to the beach and even quicker bike ride. The bathrooms are nicely updated and the beds were comfortable. The upstairs loft area was perfect for the kids to hang out and play video games or watch TV. The kitchen is well-stocked. The back porch is relaxing, with fans to keep you cool and a peaceful view of the lagoon. We would definitely stay here again!
