Things to Do

Do you cheer for Clemson, Georgia, the Carolina Panthers, or the Falcons? Don't miss a single game when you visit the coast this fall. We’ve got you covered, with plenty of bars where you can drink a cold one (or two) and catch all the gridiron action.

Isle of Palms

The Windjammer on Front Beach is the place to be for both college football on Saturdays and NFL action on Sundays and Monday nights. Take in the beach views during the time-outs and enjoy the perfect tailgate foods with Buffalo chicken wings, cheeseburgers, and, of course, cold beer. This is a 21-and-over crowd for sure, though.

Islander 71, 80 41st St., is a perfect spot for college and pro action with games on all 14 of its TVs. This spot ups the game day food game, too with specialties like she-crab fries, a flounder sandwich, crab cakes, and the daily catch.

Grab a seat in the bar at Acme Lowcountry Kitchen, 31 J C Long Blvd., for College Game Day. Enjoy some peel-n’-eat shrimp and drink specials while rooting for your team.

It’s first-come, first-serve to choose the game for NFL Sunday action at Poe’s Tavern on nearby Sullivan’s Island. So, get there early. Enjoy a bucket of craft beer, along with gourmet burgers and sandwiches, Edgar’s Nachos, or delicious fish tacos.

Kiawah Island

Cherrywood BBQ and Ale House, 700 Governors Drive at the Osprey Point Clubhouse, serves mouth-watering, knee-slapping good, slow-cooked barbecue with tangy, house-made sauces. Add to that 60 craft, draft, and imported beers and six TV screens, and it’s the perfect spot for football game day.

Seabrook Island

Fischer’s Sports Pub & Grill at Bohicket Marina looks every bit the role of a traditional sports bar with high-top tables and mounted TVs, but you have to try their next-level seafood dishes like the triple seafood with grilled fish and shrimp and fried oysters.

If you prefer to watch the plays in the privacy of your vacation property, we have you covered there, too. Homes like our four-bedroom 3 Club Cottage Lane on Kiawah Island offer plenty of screens and Wi-Fi. The three-bedroom 3D Seagrove Villas on Isle of Palms also has TVs in each bedroom and a large screen in the living room. Lay out the tailgate goodies on the bar and see every play.
