Kiawah Island
Dogs are allowed on Kiawah Island beaches year ‘round, however, there are some rules and regulations. There is a designated Dog Use Area between the eastern boundary of the Beach Club and the Ocean Course Clubhouse that al-lows dogs to be off-leash but under control year-round from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Pets must be leashed in this area from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Electronic leashes are prohibited.
On other parts of the beach, dogs must be on a leash from March 16 through Oct. 31, but are allowed off-leash from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 1 through March 15.

Isle of Palms Beach
The Isle of Palms Public Beach allows dogs to be off-leash at certain hours and times. Those times are 5 to 9 a.m. through Sept. 14; and 4 p.m. to 10 a.m. Sept. 15-March 31. Dogs are still welcome at other times, but must be on a leash and under complete control, even in the water. Of course, you’ll need to clean up after your pet.

Seabrook Island
Seabrook Island has pet-friendly beaches where pets must be on a leash between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. during peak season, which goes through Sept. 30. From Oct. 1 through March 31, pets can be off-leash at the beach if they are under control. There are a couple of exceptions: Pets must be on a leash in the area limited that begins about 300 yards northwest of a line extending from Boardwalk No. 9 (Pelican Watch Boardwalk) to the Edisto River and continues to Privateer Creek. No pets are allowed from Boardwalk No. 1 (Community Center Boardwalk) to the Atlantic Ocean northeast to Captain Sams Inlet.

Wild Dunes
Wild Dunes Resort also has beach hours for dogs. Like Isle of Palms, dogs can be off their leashes from 5 to 9 a.m. through Sept. 14; and 4 p.m. to 10 a.m. Sept. 15-March 31. At other times, dogs must be on a leash and under complete control.
