Description

Located on gorgeous Kiawah Island in the prestigious dual-gated Vanderhorst Plantation, this stunning 4-bedroom, 4.5 bath home is the perfect family getaway to experience all that the resort has to offer: tennis, golfing, biking, fishing, water sports, wildlife, and more. This home features modern furnishings, expansive bedrooms, a private pool, and spectacular views of Turtle Point Golf Course’s 6th fairway and the surrounding lagoon. It is the ideal combination of relaxation and fun for any group of travelers.

Entering the home, you’ll notice the property was designed with comfortable open spaces to both entertain and relax.  Just off the entry is a main living room with sectional sofa, large TV, and windowed walls that both showcase the magnificent views and provide access to the pool and deck area.  The adjacent formal dining area features a large round table with seating for 8-10 guests. 

The incredible kitchen area is likely where you’ll want to spend most of your time indoors.  Impeccably and tastefully designed, it features granite countertops, new stainless-steel appliances and Viking gas range, and a central island with 3 counter-height stools, making prepping meals and entertaining a breeze.  In this area, there is also a cozy sitting room with TV and a breakfast nook with bay windows that seats 6-8 guests for meals.

There are three bedrooms on the first floor of the home, including the primary suite and two other rooms, both with a queen bed and private bathroom.  The primary suite boasts a king bed, a sitting area, access to the pool & deck, and a luxurious bathroom, equipped with a pedestal tub, double vanities, a stand-alone shower, and a walk-in closet.  There is also a laundry room with washer/dryer and a half bathroom on this main first level.

The unique fourth bedroom can be found just up a few steps in the room over the garage.  This spacious bedroom has built-in bunk beds, a sofa & TV, a game table, and a private bathroom.  Need some extra space to relax?  There is also an upstairs sitting room to enjoy a little R&R or reading.

Our family of 4 adults and 3 young grandchildren enjoyed our time on Kiawah. The house fit our needs perfectly. It was clean and very comfortable. Grandparents loved the secluded Master suite. Kids loved the bonus room with bunks and TV. We used the hot tub every day and it worked perfectly. Kitchen and living area was where we hung out. We biked and walked on the serene Kiawah Island trails daily as well. We had a bike trailer for beach supplies and rode as a family to the beach most days. We also biked to the park several times. My family all loved it!!

This property was a real gem inside and out. The beautiful house is just a mile from the pristine, private beach of Kiawah Island and walkable. Our family enjoyed the saltwater hot tub and pool and were able to relax and unwind. The house was spacious given our big family and our kids really loved the room with the 2 loft style bunk beds with full beds on the bottom. The host was very responsive to our needs and always responded quickly and in a helpful and friendly way. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing vacation with their family or friends.

The photos on Airbnb match the place. It was a beautiful house, very cool layout, well furnished but comfortable. All the technology including hot tub worked perfectly. And the house was immaculate. And Kiawah Island is beautiful and it is an easy drive to downtown Charleston. Would definitely recommend this house and Sweetgrass properties!

We had a wonderful experience. The kitchen was very stocked which was great as we cooked several meals at the house. The whole house was spacious, very clean, and peaceful. We had issues with the televisions, the property management did everything they could to try and fix the issue. Overall we highly recommend staying here. We look forward to returning soon.

The house was amazing! Perfect for families, as well as for group golf trips! The space was amazing and extremely well taken care of! Pool and hot tub were perfect. As to proximity to the beach, it's about 1 mile down the paths, so either a quick bike ride and/or a long walk. If walking with little kids bring a trailer or stroller. Outside that it was perfect!

61 Fletcher Hall is a wonderful house on Kiawah for large families. We loved the privacy and no traffic area. Everything was absolutely great with this house- very spacious! The only thing we would suggest is for the yard maintenance crew NOT to arrive around 6:59 am and to please wait until after 8:00am as we had a baby and parents of that baby that needed to sleep a bit later - Vacations are for rest.

We were at 61 Fletcher Hall for a week-long girls' trip, and it was a great space. The kitchen was very well stocked, there were several good spots for hanging out in small groups, and the hot tub was terrific. I would return for a family vacation, as well -- there are so many good spots for kids to hang out, too.
